GTA VI Businesses: Every Business Rockstar Has Revealed So Far

GTA VI Is Already Boosting PS5 and Xbox Sales Before Launch

GTA VI is starting to look like it could feature a fascinating business economy.

Rockstar has already introduced a wide range of businesses across Vice City and Leonida, including real estate, nightclubs, recording studios, vehicle customization shops, clothing stores, salons, tattoo parlors and operations connected to the underground economy.

But there’s an important question we still can’t answer: How many of these GTA VI businesses will players actually be able to own, operate or invest in? Rockstar showing us a functioning business inside the world does not automatically mean it will be purchasable by the player. So let’s separate what Rockstar has actually revealed from what we’re still waiting to find out.

Rockstar’s depiction of Vice City
and Leonida already contains a
surprisingly diverse collection
of businesses and industries.

What Businesses Are in GTA 6?

Rockstar’s depiction of Vice City and Leonida already contains a surprisingly diverse collection of businesses and industries.

Some are connected directly to characters Rockstar has introduced, while others appear throughout GTA VI’s world and promotional material.

Together, they suggest Rockstar is building a world with a recognizable economy rather than simply using businesses as generic background scenery.

Industries we’ve already seen represented include:

  • Real estate
  • Nightlife
  • Music and recording
  • Automotive customization
  • Clothing and fashion
  • Beauty and personal care
  • Tattooing
  • Retail
  • Illegal goods and underground commerce

One of the best examples of how these businesses can intersect is Boobie Ike.

Boobie Ike’s GTA VI Business Empire

Boobie Ike may be one of the most interesting GTA VI characters for players interested in business and entrepreneurship.

Rockstar describes Boobie as a Vice City legend who transformed his past in the streets into a legitimate empire.

That empire spans several industries.

Real Estate

Rockstar specifically identifies real estate as part of Boobie Ike’s business empire.

Exactly what properties he owns and how extensive his portfolio is remain questions we’ll have to explore further.

From a business perspective, however, the important detail is that Rockstar has deliberately incorporated real-estate ownership into the wealth of one of Vice City’s established entrepreneurs.

Jack of Hearts

Boobie is also connected to Vice City’s nightlife through the Jack of Hearts.

The club represents another component of his diversified business interests and connects Boobie with Vice City’s entertainment economy.

Only Raw Records

Music represents another part of Boobie’s empire.

Boobie is partnered with aspiring music mogul Dre’Quan Priest through Only Raw Records.

That gives Boobie interests spanning:

Real Estate → Nightlife → Music & Entertainment

Rather than portraying wealth purely through cash, cars and luxury possessions, Rockstar has created a character whose status is connected to ownership and business interests.

But Boobie’s empire isn’t the only evidence of a larger business ecosystem.

GTA VI Auto Shops and Vehicle Businesses

The automotive industry appears to be another component of GTA VI’s business world.

Businesses revealed include:

Rideout Customs Mod Shop

Rideout Customs represents the type of vehicle-customization business GTA players will immediately recognize.

Vehicle modification has historically been an important part of the Grand Theft Auto experience, making businesses like this particularly interesting to watch.

One-Eyed Willie’s Mod Shop

One-Eyed Willie’s provides another automotive customization business within GTA VI’s world.

The presence of multiple mod shops suggests vehicle customization businesses aren’t limited to a single location or brand.

The unanswered question is whether these locations will simply provide services to players or whether GTA VI will eventually provide opportunities to participate more deeply in the automotive business.

For now, we shouldn’t assume ownership mechanics that Rockstar hasn’t confirmed.

Stock 305 Clothing Store

GTA VI also includes businesses connected to clothing and fashion.

Stock 305 represents one example.

Clothing stores have traditionally provided players with ways to customize their characters, but GTA VI’s broader business environment raises questions about whether retail establishments will have functions beyond conventional shopping.

Again, their presence does not by itself confirm business ownership.

Sara’s Unisex Salon

The beauty and personal-care industry is represented through businesses such as Sara’s Unisex Salon.

Locations like this help create a more believable consumer economy throughout Vice City and Leonida.

They also demonstrate how diverse Rockstar’s commercial world appears to be.

Not every GTA VI business needs to involve crime, weapons or vehicles.

Electric Fang Tattoo Parlor

Electric Fang Tattoo Parlor adds another personal-service business to the GTA VI economy.

Tattoo parlors have previously functioned as character-customization locations within Grand Theft Auto games.

What role Electric Fang ultimately plays—and how deeply players can interact with it—will become clearer once we have more authoritative gameplay information.

Goodtime Gear

Goodtime Gear adds another retail operation to the businesses represented throughout GTA VI’s world.

Combined with clothing stores, salons, tattoo parlors, automotive businesses and entertainment venues, it contributes to the sense that Rockstar is creating a varied commercial environment rather than filling Leonida with one type of storefront.

GTA VI Also Has an Underground Economy

Not every Vice City entrepreneur operates on the legitimate side of the economy.

GTA VI also contains businesses and organizations associated with illegal commerce, including an operation connected to PTT Youngin$.

That introduces another economic layer.

GTA has always blended legitimate commerce with criminal enterprise, and GTA VI appears positioned to continue that tradition.

This could potentially create an economy containing everything from conventional retail and entertainment to illicit operations.

Exactly how players participate in those systems remains to be seen.

Can You Own Businesses in GTA VI?

This is the most important question—and the one where we need to be particularly careful.

The existence of these businesses does not automatically confirm that players will be able to purchase, own or operate them.

Those are two different things.

Rockstar can create a rich fictional economy filled with businesses without making every company an investment opportunity for Jason or Lucia.

Until Rockstar confirms specific player-facing business mechanics, we should distinguish between:

CONFIRMED: These businesses and industries exist within GTA VI’s world.

and

UNCONFIRMED: Players can purchase, operate, upgrade or earn passive income from all of them.

That distinction matters.

GTA Online has conditioned players to think about businesses as purchasable assets and money-making opportunities.

But we shouldn’t automatically assume GTA VI will use the same economic model.

Could GTA VI Have a Deeper Business Economy?

This is where things become particularly interesting from an entrepreneurial perspective.

I’m a business owner and real-estate broker in real life, so I’m going to approach Vice City’s economy differently from someone interested primarily in cars, weapons or completing the story.

I want to understand:

What can we own?

What can we invest in?

Can we buy real estate?

Can businesses generate cash flow?

Can we own multiple businesses?

Can we reinvest profits?

Can we build a portfolio of assets?

And ultimately:

Can you actually build an empire in GTA VI?

We don’t know all of those answers yet.

And until Rockstar gives us authoritative information, we’re not going to pretend that we do.

But the business environment Rockstar has already created gives us plenty to investigate.

Assets Instead of Just Expensive Toys

This is also where my approach to making money in GTA VI is going to be different.

When I enter Vice City, I don’t want to spend every dollar I make collecting expensive cars.

I want assets.

I want businesses.

I want properties.

I want investments.

I want cash flow.

If GTA VI gives players meaningful ways to acquire assets and compound their money, I want to determine the most effective way to do it.

That leads directly into the larger experiment we’re building around GTA VI.

Can We Build a $100 Million GTA VI Empire?

When GTA VI launches, the goal is to start with as little as possible and determine whether we can build a $100 million Vice City empire.

The strategy will depend entirely on what Rockstar actually allows players to do.

If we can buy businesses, we’ll analyze them.

If we can invest in property, we’ll evaluate the real estate.

If businesses generate income, we’ll compare their returns.

If there are multiple investment opportunities, we’ll determine which produce the best ROI.

And if certain systems don’t exist, we’ll adapt rather than inventing them.

The larger question isn’t simply:

How do you make money in GTA VI?

It’s:

Can you use GTA VI’s economy to actually build wealth?

That’s what we’re going to find out.

Because when GTA VI launches…

we’re going into business.
